The Yellowknife Legion is proud to support 2837 Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI) Army Cadet Corps.  The Corps has had a long standing affiliation with the Legion and vice versa.  Most recently, the Corps assisted during the 2019 Legion Poppy Campaign and Remembrance Day Ceremony, including the overnight vigil from 10 to 11 November 2019.

Prior to Remembrance Day, Cadet families assisted with Chase the Ace, which resulted in the Corps being recipients of a share of the proceeds of this fund raising.  The Legion presented an interim cheque for $5,000 to the Cadet Corps.

In 2019, the Corps celebrated 50 years of existence in Yellowknife.  This is a noteworthy accomplishment and a testament to the success of the Corps in the community.  Every year, Cadets attend a number of summer camps, including the Basic Para Course in Trenton, ON.

This page will recognize the relationship between the Corps and the Yellowknife Legion.  Check back for photos and narratives detailing the work being done by hard working Cadets.

If you know of Yellowknife youth interested in joining Cadets, they can contact the Corps through their Facebook page.  The Corps meets on Wednesday nights from 6:15 pm to 9:15 pm at École Allain St-Cyr in Yellowknife, NT.
